Enabling direct connections to more than 32,000 media in the United States
The MediaInternet Directory (“Media Directory” or “Directory”) belongs to a third generation of search engines: we call it a Niche Engine. First there were the Yahoo!s of this world, with a bunch of tools and lots of information in several categories of consumer and business life. Then came Google, a very fast search engine with all sorts of information but not focused in any particular market. Now the time is coming for niche directories with applications, focused on a specific market segment.
The Media Directory caters to a specific audience: the media seller, buyer and planner market. Media kit information is filtered, standardized and ready for use and is becoming an indispensable everyday destination for media planners and buyers in the United States, and ultimately the world. The Directory is free to buyers if sellers sponsor their links or advertise. In turn, sellers get to show their information in a consolidated medium, and benefit from competitor proximity and aggregation.
The big difference with other directories online is that each link in a search result is a linked to a media kit: we don’t link to media websites - a very popular method but not good when professionals are involved. Media kits are relational, meaning you can use them to build a plan, communicate and send orders to pushing a few buttons
