Our Story
Charlie Deane and others founded MediaInternet with the idea of creating a media directory in August 1998. In all these years we have seen all sorts of business models, of which the marketplace idea was the most flamboyant and short lived of all. We ourselves tried to be an exchange for some time and let go of that idea before we hit the ground.
From there on we have been developing infrastructure and applications, taking a little of everything we learn along the way. It´s a big industry and learning the ropes takes time. We were always Web based: in fact we have always developed applications for ourselves or others that only use the Web at their foundation.
We have built and applied numerous implementations, successfully integrated throughout a wide range of media categories. Our company can provide the strategic planning and system integration expertise required to plan and deploy end-to-end advertising sales and purchase solutions
For a major New York newspaper, we provided customer analysis and operational assessment to develop a strategy for integrating their traditional classified ad sales with new Internet opportunities. For a major news publisher in the media business we developed and integrated the largest, most comprehensive media kit portal in the U.S. For a European media representative we implemented a sales and CRM solution in China, which drove sales up 45%, three years in a row. We also helped a leading North American television broadcasting and newspaper publishing company consolidate sales operations across cable, network and print sales forces.
MediaInternet is backed by the experience of enabling integrated systems to manage customers, sales, purchasing, production, placement and tracking across large, medium and small enterprises the world over.
